This is a Northern Cardinal that has been visiting our feeder for nearly a week. The color is very different from the other Cardinals, adults and juveniles. I once had a platform feeder and one morning very early I glanced out to see a feeding adult male Cardinal however where the birds usually have a black patch around the very large triangular beak, the bird I was seeing instead of black, the patch was white.
I had no camera handy so I have nothing other than a vivid memory of another unusual colored bird. I have been told by experts that albinism in birds is not uncommon however it was a new experience for me .
