Variation on a Nashua Musical Treasure
Nashua Symphony has changed its name, to Symphony NH.
As part of its ongoing effort to serve communities around the state, the Nashua Symphony Association has officially changed its name to Symphony New Hampshire (Symphony NH), effective immediately. Jonathan McPhee will continue as Music Director and Principal Conductor, and the orchestra and chorus will maintain their home in Nashua.
"We are excited about this change, and confident it represents a positive new direction for us," said Symphony NH's Executive Director Eric Valliere. "The state needs a professional orchestra that can serve more than just a single community, and with McPhee on the podium we feel well-prepared to take on that challenge."
The re-branding effort, including the design of an all-new visual palette for the Symphony, is being supported by Cambridge Trust of New Hampshire and the Nashua Center for the Arts. If you are already a supporter you will receive the new 2012-13 season brochure in the mail shortly. If not, you can find out more about becoming a friend of Symphony NH here.
