Volunteers Needed Saturday at Mine Falls Park

NASHUA - On Saturday June 14 the Mine Falls Park Advisory Committee is holding another monthly volunteer trail day. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Tasks range from picking up trash, maintaining trails, to constructing / demolishing park features. Gloves, water, and a T-Shirt will be provided to volunteers. Volunteers register at 8:45 a.m. and cleaning begins at 9 a.m. Please come dressed for yard work. The historic 1886 Gatehouse will also be open for tours during the trail day as well as there being a free coloring book event for kids held at the Compass Rose site in front of the Gatehouse. Parents are welcome to bring their children to color books filled with pictures of the park and the things inside it. The registration will be held at the Lincoln Park entrance located off Coliseum Avenue and behind Hannaford's.
