The Nashua Chamber Aldermanic Candidates Forum

Video of the Nashua Chamber of Commerce Aldermanic Candidates Forum. Links to the entire forum, and a truncated version for Ward 3 voters.

Last week Chris Williams, CEO of the Nashua Chamber of Commerce, hosted a candidates forum, which included all of Nashua's At Large candidates, as well as Ward Alderman candidates. It was a great opportunity to hear from our candidates about how they would serve our community if elected to the BOA. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to connect with voters present, as well as those who were able to watch the event on Access Nashua TV and online.

One of the areas that I believe that we could improve the way our city government works is through providing the public with more information, and more opportunities to participate in the bigger decisions that our city makes. In that spirit, I wanted to take the time to give folks in Ward 3 and Nashua another way to learn more about their candidates. City wide, we've got some big decisions to make, and those decisions are best made when we are well informed.

I hope that, on November 5th, Nashua Voters will send the best candidates to the Board of Alderman. Candidates who will represent Nashua's best interests, who will address the challenges that we face head on, and who will actively listen to their constituents and colleagues before making decisions that affect us all. Candidates who demonstrate a solid understanding of the state of our city, who have a vision regarding how we might address the challenges that we face, and who have demonstrated that they are willing to do the work that it takes to improve quality of life in the city we call home.  I believe that in Ward 3, I am that candidate.

The video below has been cut down to about 15 minutes out of the two hour forum, and includes all questions, and the responses from both candidates for Ward 3 Alderman. I wanted to give constituents in Ward 3 the opportunity to view the responses, even if they don't have two hours to dedicate to the entire program.

Not a Ward 3 voter? Fret not, you didn't read all of that for nothing. Below is a link to the video in it's entirety, with At Large and Ward candidate responses, as provided by Access Nashua.

My name is Paul Shea, and I am asking for an opportunity to represent Nashuans in our city government and to work in a greater capacity to improve the quality of life here in Ward 3, Downtown, and all of Nashua. I am asking for your vote on November 5th at the Amherst Street School.

The more information we share, and the more informed our decisions are, the stronger our city will be. Have a great day, and no matter who you decide to vote for, please get out there and vote.
