Where in the World Are You Traveling Next?
Lyme, NH has world-class art, fine craft, gifts, locally made by top artists who choose to live here, plus fine dining, a 5-star inn, more.
Here (below) are some photos to go along with an article I wrote about lovely, luscious, little Lyme, New Hampshire. It’s a small town situated on the banks of the mighty Connecticut River, where fishing and water activities abound, and where a 5-star country inn has all the amenities you need at prices that will truly amaze. Restaurants, an art gallery growing in renown, fine B&B’s, hiking, alpine and nordic skiing, and some of the finest cycling this side of the south of France (and with hills that won’t kill you, but will challenge your legs with each ride), golf, snowshoeing, and it’s just 10 miles north of Hanover, NH and Dartmouth College. Lyme is within an easy drive of Boston, NYC, and Montreal, and it’s a great hub to hang your hat to strike out to NH’s White Mountains, VT’s Green Mountains and Mad River Valley, Montpelier, Burlington, Woodstock or Stowe, Vt. (for spas) and more. Here’s the link to my latest missive. https://dailyuv.com/news/821595
If you plan to visit, now or in any season, please stop in at Long River Gallery & Gifts in Lyme for an exciting shopping experience like no other you’ve ever known. See http://longrivergallery.com for info and directions.
Lyme is everywhere you want to be for vacation or relocation. Lyme is a great place for a Valentine’s Day visit and overnight stay at The Lyme Inn or The Dowds’ Country Inn, with a V-Day gift sure to be unique and memorable from Long River Gallery & Gifts, a meal at Stella’s or The Lyme Inn, a snowshoe, ski, walk in the woods or around the Lyme Town Common, or for a scenic country drive on the Kancamagus Highway where moose abound. One town north you’ll find the freshest, finest cave-aged cheese anywhere (Toma, Smoked Toma, Piermont, and more) at Robie Farm (http://www.robiefarmnh.com) where you can shop 7 days a week using their “honor system” and old-time wooden cash register. Amazing and true! Time to think ahead to treating well the person you enjoy being with most—with a trip to Lyme!
