Witness Says Shooter Yelled, ‘Free Palestine’ After Firing Upon Nashua Country Club Event Attendees

Update: Mass casualty event, with multiple people injured, after a gunman shot event attendees at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua police have one person in custody after a shooting at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua on Saturday night, where one man was killed and several others injured.

Multiple law enforcement agencies and first responders were sent to the scene. At least three people were taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center by a Bearcat. One man was reportedly shot in the face. The country club was hosting a function, and people were also eating at Prime Restaurant when the gunmen entered the facility and began shooting people. A witness reported one of the men yelled, “Free Palestine,” before firing upon the guests.

A triage area was set up for the shooting victims at the Spit Brook Fire Station and East Dunstable Road. At least nine ambulances were called to the scene — several Mass. State Police troopers also arrived to assist, since part of the country club is in Massachusetts.

EMS from all around southern New Hampshire was requested to the country club to assist.

Nashua police, around 9:30 p.m., confirmed a suspect was in custody.

“Video surveillance has confirmed there was only one shooter and they are currently being detained,” Nashua police said on X. “The scene is still an active investigation, but there is no further danger to the public.”

Later Saturday night, the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office confirmed one man was dead and one man was in custody. The suspected shooter was detained on-scene by Nashua police officers, and there is no present threat to the public, the report said. Initial reports indicating that there were two shooters were erroneous.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available while protecting the integrity of the investigation.
