Woman Allegedly Stole Babyback Ribs

It was a third strike for Stacey Morrow, who police said has two prior shoplifting convictions.

Stacey Morrow, 43, of 12 Whitney St., Nashua, was arrested June 25 for theft by unauthorized taking, a class B felony.

Police said Morrow was stopped at a downtown supermarket at about 3:30 p.m. for allegedly attempting to leave the store with stolen food items, including three packs of babyback ribs.

She was charged with theft By unauthorized taking, a class A misdemeanor; however this charge was upgraded to a class B felony based on the fact that Morrow has two prior theft-related convictions.

A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Morrow was held at the Nashua Police Department on $1,500 cash or surety bail pending her arraignment at Nashua District Court on June 26, 2012.
