World Academy Takes Home Trophies At Rize Robotics Championship

On Saturday, March 18th, three teams from World Academy in Nashua excelled in the Rize Robotics Queen City Championship.

On Saturday, March 18th, three teams from World Academy in Nashua participated in the Rize Robotics Queen City Championship held at Gossler Park Elementary School in Manchester.


Team Lego Bright Minds (Peyton Moses, Hrushikesh Sankaranaarayan, Anders Toresjo, and Cara Berman) took home a Silver Medal and a Gold Medal in 2 out of 3 challenges, featuring one of the most innovative strategies to date. Also, Team Wolfpacks (Perry Mourtzinos, Nicholas Rushton, Devon Morrison, and Derek Springer) took home the Gold trophy Engineering Design of the Robots, and Team Firebots (Jackson Chittister, Nicholas Dias, and Will Fafel) took home the silver trophy for Engineering Design of the Robots. Students were judged on the quality and the originality of their ideas, as well as on execution of that strategy to build a working model robot.

The next Rize Robotics tournament will be held at World Academy on April 15. World Academy offers congratulations to their students for their successes on March 18th, and looks forward to seeing students take on new challenges in the tournament ahead.
