Y Welcomes New Director of Development, Heidi Roy

Heidi Roy, of Nashua, has joined the YMCA of Greater Nashua as Director of Development

YMCA NAMES HEIDI ROY AS DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

August 23, 2017: Heidi Roy, of Nashua, has joined the YMCA of Greater Nashua as Director of Development. Ms. Roy brings with her 13 years of fundraising experience in the non-profit sector. She has extensive experience in successful nonprofit management and sustainability, and has a proven track record of accountability for significant income targets, as well as event-related mission and advocacy activities.

She began her Development career with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Greater New England Chapter, beginning as a Development Coordinator and eventually as the Director of Development. Before joining the Y, Heidi was the Development Officer of the New England Territory for the non-profit, Cure SMA (spinal muscular atrophy) for four years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rehabilitation & Human Services/Psychology from University of Maine in Farmington.

“We are pleased that Heidi is joining our development team. She brings a strong background in fundraising in her years in the non-profit community. Our YMCA has enjoyed a period of strong growth in our programs, services and community impact. Our staff and Board are looking forward to working with Heidi as we increase our philanthropic support to better serve the community,” said Mike LaChance, CEO of YMCA of Greater Nashua.

In her position with the YMCA, Ms. Roy will lead the organization in its development efforts. She will work with staff and volunteers to elevate all streams of fundraising for the YMCA of Greater Nashua, including the annual support campaign, major gift fundraising, corporate gifts, capital campaigns, and planned giving.
