YMCA of Greater Nashua Welcomes New Board Members

 

YMCA OF GREATER NASHUA WELCOMES NEW BOARD MEMBERS

The YMCA of Greater Nashua has announced its newly elected members of the Y's Board of Directors. Elected to a three-year term, beginning in December 2013, are:

•         Joseph G. Thomas, retired CEO of M/A-COM Technology Solutions

•         Dr. Karin L. Witt, Physician at Foundation Medical Partners

•         Lydia Foley, Realtor at Remax Properties in Nashua

•         Malcolm Huckaby, Vice President/Investments at Capital Securities Management

•         Nicholas J. DeSousa, Radiologist at St. Joseph Hospital

 

Also, joining to the Board of Directors this fall for three-year term are:

•         Chet Rodgers, Real Estate Appraiser and Consultant

•         Steven King, Regional Vice President at United Health Care

 

Re-elected to the Board of Directors:

•         Current Board Chair Denis Dancoes, II, Director of Cushman & Wakefield of NH

•         Immediate Past President Jay Maiona, Attorney in Nashua

•         Board Member Mark Cookson, Principal Management of Change Consultant at Information & Performance Solutions Consulting Services

 

The role of YMCA volunteers is to provide leadership, guidance and financial support to the organization as it works to provide programs and services to youth and families of the Greater Nashua area. Board members work with staff to develop a long range strategic plan that guides the implementation of programs and initiatives that support the Y’s efforts to nurture the potential of youth, improve the nation’s health and well-being, and give back and support neighbors. “I am excited to have these wonderful community leaders joining our Board of Directors to aid us in our great work and service to the Greater Nashua region,” said Michael LaChance, YMCA of Greater Nashua CEO.
