16th Telluride by the Sea Held Sept. 19-21
Six movies, three days, one weekend festival of new cinema.

The secret is out: six diverse, original films with international casts of both seasoned actors and fresh new faces, directed by some of the world’s most acclaimed filmmakers, are coming to The Music Hall’s Telluride by the Sea festival in Portsmouth — transforming the charming Seacoast town into a mecca for cinephiles for three exciting days, Friday Sept. 19 – Sunday Sept. 21.
In keeping with the tradition, a limited number of individual film tickets are now on sale. Patron and Weekend passes are also on sale.
Telluride by the Sea 2014, its 16th year, is filled with All Stars: Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, Reese Witherspoon, and Laura Dern,; international stars: Marion Cotillard, and Timothy Spall; and new work from directors Jean-Marc Vallee (Dallas Buyers Club); Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne (The Kid With A Bike).

And, for passholders only, Masters Classics will feature three Silver Medallion Telluride films from directors who have new films in this years line up: The thought provoking Rosetta directed by The Dardenne Brothers; the situational comedy Life is Sweet from director Mike Lee; and the the newest award winner, Volker Schlöndorff’s Circle of Deceit.
According to Chris Curtis, programming coordinator for The Music Hall, “It’s coming upon that time again! The excitement is palpable and growing! Come see these six brand new films before your friends, family or colleagues in New York or LA are able!”

So why buy the pass rather than just the individual film ticket? Curtis continues, “When many buy their pass, they don’t know yet what the films will be and this is part of the mystique and magic. It is a testimonial to the quality of films we get for Telluride by the Sea. It’s the anticipation - not knowing what you are buying, but having innate confidence that it will be worth it, based on previous years of experience. But, whether you buy a pass knowing the weekend’s titles or not knowing, when you commit to the whole weekend, it pays off. TFI – Total Film Immersion. And the savvy immersionist chooses the Patron Pass!”
