3S Artspace Gets $250,000 Gift

PixelMEDIA donation gives non-profit's $2.2 million capital campaign to create new space on Vaughan Street a boost.

Earlier this month, PixelMEDIA donated $250,000 to 3S Artspace for its $2.2 million capital campaign to build a new 3S Artspace Center on 319 Vaughan St.

The money will be used to fund immediate interior and exterior renovations to its new, 18,200 square foot building at 319 Vaughan St., and providing operating capital to sustain the organization during its first two years of operation, according to 3S Artspace's Web site.

PixelMEDIA's gift also enabled the Portsmouth company to secure the naming rights to the 3S gallery space, according to the non-profit group's Web site.

"It is a pleasure to be able to contribute meaningfully to the creation of 3S Artspace, and a special honor to have secured the first naming opportunity of the Making Space Capital Campaign," stated PixelMEDIA CEO and Co-Founder Erik Dodier in a prepared statement.

"PixelMedia is proud to contribute to organizations that strengthen our community and positively impact the people who live and work here, which would seem to describe 3S Artspace to a tee. As an organization, PixelMEDIA is sensitive to the unique needs of non-profits, so it's all the more meaningful to be able to lend our own name to the 3S gallery space, making us a part of one of the many places within 3S that will surely be invaluable to our community for years to come," he continued.

"We're thrilled that PixelMEDIA is partnering with us to bring 3S Artspace to Portsmouth, and this gift is a powerful statement of their commitment," remarked 3S Co-Founder Chris Greiner in a prepared statement on the non-profit group's Web site.

"Having them open up our capital campaign with such a substantial contribution, with a big bang like that — it's huge for us. And honestly, we couldn't have hand-selected a better company to lead the charge than PixelMEDIA. Their work, their people, and their business philosophy fall perfectly in line with the ideals that have guided the creation of 3S Artspace, so it's especially gratifying to see those convictions confirmed and reflected back to us in the early, extremely generous support of PixelMEDIA," Grenier continued.

As part of the capital campaign, other naming opportunities are available for a variety of spaces throughout the new building including the performance space, stage, outdoor café and garden, and central and front lobbies, to name a few, according to 3S Artspace.
