Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing at Pease

Emergency crews responded due to a plane with an in-flight emergency.

UPDATE, 10:50 A.M.: The tanker has landed safely, according to emergency radio broadcasts. According to the police scanner, the aircraft checked out OK and is taxiing back to park.

Emergency crews have been released from the scene.

Emergency crews are responding to Pease Air National Guard Base for a plane with an in-flight emergency.

A report of an aircraft alert was called in around 10:30 a.m., according to emergency radio broadcasts. Reportedly, a KC-135 has an in-flight emergency. One report indicated that an engine light had come on.

Emergency personnel are being asked to stage on the runway. The plane is expected to land around 10:40 p.m.

According to the police scanner, there are 15 people on board, and an unknown amount of fuel.
