C&J Bus Lines to Hold Flu Clinic

In partnership with HCA/Portsmouth Regional Hospital, there will be a flu shot clinic for C&J employees at the Portsmouth terminal on January 24 in two shifts from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.  

Nurse Marie Hall will be on hand to administer the vaccinations and to answer any questions. She will also have a table accessible to the public that will have literature about the flu and giveaways such as tissues and hand sanitizers. 

C&J transports passengers 24 hours a day, every day of the year. From their three terminal locations, Logan Airport, Boston’s South Station and from the NYC Port Authority, C&J carries an excess of 600,000 travelers every year. 

“We have a heightened sense of responsibility to help promote prevention awareness to help reduce the spread of what has proved to be a very serious flu epidemic”, said Jamie Lesniak, VP of Operations at C&J Bus Lines. 

Each of the coaches in the C&J fleet receives a thorough cleaning each day that includes a heavy focus on maintaining sanitary conditions. The terminals and coach lavatories are all equipped with tissues and hand sanitizer.  Educational flyers have been added in public areas as well as on all social media outlets to encourage people to practice best practices to avoid the spread of contagion during this flu season and throughout the year.   

Due to the limited supply of vaccine, this clinic is primarily for C&J employees, but there will be a small quantity available to the public for $20 cash payment.  Anyone traveling through our Portsmouth terminal who is interested in receiving a flu shot should allow for extra time before their scheduled travel departure.
