James Patrick Kelly writes science fiction and fantasy and has published fourteen books and over a hundred and fifteen stories. Winner of the Hugo, Nebula and Locus awards, he has witnessed monumental changes in the genre he loves over the course of a long career and is eager to share his thoughts and recommendations about what to read right now.

Maybe your ideas about sf and fantasy were formed by reading H.G. Wells or J.R.R.Tolkien, or perhaps Isaac Asimov and Ursula LeGuin first introduced you to realms of the fantastic. If so, you should know that a new generation of writers have taken the genre into the strange and fabulous precincts of what is now called speculative fiction. It’s time to catch up with the cutting edge of the genre with Jim as your guide to the visionary writers who are making future history. Sample the work of tomorrow’s stars in a fun and thought-provoking tour of science fiction and fantasy in the Twenty-First century.

Since 1988, New Hampshire Theatre Project has been providing nurturing professional environments for youth, artists and community members to be inspired and transformed through the art of theatre. NH Theatre Project is located at 959 Islington St, Portsmouth, NH
