Bavarian Autosport Raises Funds for Local Breast Cancer Organization

Bavarian Autosport's Show and Shine event raises $23,000 for Komen.

It was not the cars alone shining at the 2014 Bavarian Autosport Show and Shine event in Portsmouth, NH on October 5th. After a few years of wet weather, the sun came out for the event and hundreds of BMW and Mini enthusiasts lined up to show off their styling and detailing ideas with other owners…all while supporting Susan G. Komen® Vermont/New Hampshire to the tune of $23,000.

The day included something for everyone: live demos on simple repairs and detailing, opportunities to chat with representatives from an array of automotive companies, discounts in the Bavarian Autosport showroom, a massive free barbeque lunch, a free raffle for dozens of items, and a charity raffle benefiting Komen® VT-NH that included 40 fantastic prizes. This year, in honor of their 40th anniversary, BA upped the ante, offering a one-week trip for two to Germany as a Grand Prize! Raffle proceeds more than doubled this year, resulting in the $23,000 donation to our Komen Affiliate (75% of these proceeds fund local Vermont and New Hampshire breast health programs, while the remaining 25% supports vital research on the national level).

Bavarian Autosport also participates in the Susan G. Komen NH Race for the Cure by forming a team of runners and walkers. They will continue their tradition at this year’s race, which will happen on May 9, 2015 at Strawbery Banke, Portsmouth, NH.

In addition to having a team, Bavarian Autosport will be the Platinum Sponsor for the 2015 event and enjoy some of the fantastic benefits of their sponsorship such as having their own private team tent.

Komen VT-NH is incredibly grateful to Bavarian Autosport for their years of support and wish them another 40 years of continued success with fun-filled Show and Shine events!
