Aüva
Aüva formed in January 2015 in Boston while the band's members were studying at Berklee. Their first EP, Light Years, was released in April of that year. The overall sound is reminiscent of the dream/pop style influenced by surf and psychedelic rock. A consistent, driving rhythm section dances underneath jangly guitar and soaring harmonies. J. Simpson of the Equal Ground said of Light Years, "It's like a sun fever dream that's over almost before you can register that it's begun....sparkling, sublime stuff." In addition to making music, Aüva also helps run a DIY music space called Make Out Point.
