Bronx Man Arrested for Drug Dealing
Portsmouth Police: Everton Sterling was arrested with $16,000 worth of cocaine at a local hotel.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - A New York man was arrested after a drug investigation between the Portsmouth and Somersworth police and the DEA.
Everton Sterling, 31, of East 229th Street in the Bronx, NY, was arrested on Jan. 8, 2016, and charged with sale of controlled drug (cocaine) and possession of drugs with intent to distribute (cocaine), both felonies, as well as two counts of possession of drugs (marijuana).

According to Lt. Mark Newport of the Portsmouth Police Department, the department’s Special Investigations Unit and High Intensity Drug Interdiction Team were investigating a drug case allegedly involving Sterling. The teams, along with K-9 Max and Steele, were sent to a local hotel where they arrested Sterling as he was attempting to leave.
Sterling was searched and police also searched his room and allegedly found $16,000 worth of cocaine, marijuana, and $2,500 cash. He was arrested and held on $75,000 cash bail in Rockingham County Jail. Sterling will be arraigned on Jan. 11, 2016.
