CD Release Party; Bridal Show on Tap This Weekend
Joyce Anderson to perform in concert Saturday night; Seacoast Bridal Show at Sheraton Harborside Hotel Sunday; reggae music at Press Room.
As most city residents know, there is never a shortage of fun things to do or places to go in Portsmouth. Each Thursday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends.
1. See Joyce Anderson in concert: The Prescott Park Arts Festival will hold a CD release party at the South Church on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. that will feature Joyce Anderson who is releasing her new album, "Swerve," and Harvey Reid. Tickets are $15 per person in advance and $18 on the day of the show.
2. Seacoast Bridal Show Sunday: The NH Magazine's Seacoast Bridal Show will be held on Sunday at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will feature a runway, the latest bridal fashions and several Seacoast wedding vendors.

3. Reggae at Press Room: The Christa Renee Band will bring their brand of Reggae, Funk and Soul to the Press Room on Saturday night at 9 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge.
4. See "Twelve Angry Men" at Players Ring: The drama "Twelve Angry Men," by Reginald Rose will be performed this weekend at the Players Ring theater. The play will be performed on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m.

5. Discover Portsmouth Center: The Discover Portsmouth Center on Middle Street is always a great place for families to learn more about the city's history and cultural heritage.
