Chowder Festival, Irish Comedy Tour This Weekend
Prescott Park Arts Festival stages first event of the summer season; Dead Kenny G's rock the Press Room; sail on new Piscataqua Gundalow.
As most city residents know, there is never a shortage of fun things to do or places to go in Portsmouth. Each Friday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends.
1. Chowder festival returns: The Prescott Park Arts Festival will hold the annual WOKQ Chowder Festival on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until all the chowder is gone. Several Portsmouth area restaurants will compete for bragging rights and there will be some live music.
2. Irish Comedy Tour: If you need some laughs, come see the Irish Comedy Tour at the Music Hall Loft on Friday and Saturday. Both shows are at 7:30 p.m. and tickets sell for $36 apiece.

3. Dead Kenny G's: Don't miss the Dead Kenny G's at The Press Room on Saturday night. There is a $5 cover charge.
4. Brickyard Blues: The Dolphin Striker will feature Brickyard Blues on Saturday night from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. and there is no cover charge.

5. Gundalow day sails: The Gundalow Company offers on Saturday and Sunday.
