Boston MedFlight is a nonprofit organization providing the highest level of critical care transport by air and ground to patients in need—regardless of their circumstances. For more than 40 years, since our founding in 1985, we have set the standard for clinical excellence, safety, and compassion in the air medical industry. Our tagline, “Your Life. Our Mission.”, captures the purpose that drives everything we do. Whether responding to an emergency scene or transferring a critically ill patient between hospitals, our team delivers seamless, patient-centered care during some of the most challenging moments in a person’s life. As a nonprofit, we are guided by one unwavering principle: every patient deserves access to lifesaving care, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Each year, Boston MedFlight provides more than $7 million in free and unreimbursed care, ensuring no patient is ever turned away. Our clinical teams are among the most highly trained and experienced in the world, caring for patients of all ages—from premature infants to older adults—across a wide range of conditions. These include adult and pediatric trauma, complex medical emergencies, cardiac and stroke events, high-risk obstetric and neonatal care, and specialized interfacility transfers. We achieve this excellence through rigorous training and preparedness. Every clinician completes an intensive onboarding and education program that includes hospital ICU and emergency department rotations, pediatric and neonatal critical care experience, high-fidelity simulation training, advanced procedural labs, and comprehensive classroom instruction in transport medicine. Our work is supported by a state-of-the-art fleet of Airbus H145 helicopters and Freightliner mobile ICU ground vehicles, each equipped with advanced technology comparable to leading hospital ICUs.

Each Friday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends. 1. Chowder festival returns: The Prescott Park Arts Festival will hold the annual WOKQ Chowder Festival on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until all the chowder is gone. Several Portsmouth area restaurants will compete for bragging rights and there will be some live music. 2. Irish Comedy Tour: If you need some laughs, come see the Irish Comedy Tour at the Music Hall Loft on Friday and Saturday. Both shows are at 7:30 p.m. and tickets sell for $36 apiece. 3. Dead Kenny G's: Don't miss the Dead Kenny G's at The Press Room on Saturday night. There is a $5 cover charge. 4. Brickyard Blues: The Dolphin Striker will feature Brickyard Blues on Saturday night from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. and there is no cover charge. 5. Gundalow day sails: The Gundalow Company offers on Saturday and Sunday.
