CITGO Marketer Mutual Oil Company Welcomes Bess the Book Bus for Children's Book Giveaways in Portsmouth and Seabrook, N.H.

Mobile literacy program Bess the Book Bus will stop at two CITGO stations in New Hampshire this week.

As part of its nationwide 2014 “Success is in Sight” tour that will serve more than 25,000 kids in 35 states, mobile literacy program Bess the Book Bus will stop at two CITGO stations in New Hampshire this week: a visit to CITGO Marketer Mutual Oil Company’s O’Brien’s II General Store in Portsmouth, N.H. on Thursday, September 11 and a stop at O’Brien’s CITGO in Seabrook, N.H. on Friday, September 12.

Bess is traveling the United States, making numerous stops at schools, community centers, shelters, Head Start facilities and CITGO locations in nearly 60 cities to donate books, read aloud to children and help spread a love for reading. Thanks to a network of volunteers and support from CITGO and other corporate sponsors, Bess the Book Bus has visited 48 states, supported more than 60,000 children, and donated more than 450,000 books so far this year.

Bess the Book Bus founder, Jennifer Frances, will talk to attendees about the importance of reading and distribute brand new books to children from the local community and neighboring elementary schools. In addition, Mutual Oil is donating CITGO backpacks and CITGO coloring pages.
