Conquer the Cold Commuter Challenge to start Nov. 1st

Earn prizes by walking, biking, or taking the bus to work. Sustainable transportation. Commuter Challenge.

The Abominable Snowman, or yeti, is back as the proud mascot of CommuteSMART Seacoast’s “Conquer the Cold” Challenge. This free commuter contest, running from November 1st to January 31st, invites area residents to commute to work by bus, bike, moped, or foot.

Anyone who works in the Greater Seacoast of New Hampshire is eligible for this fun event. Participants compete on an individual basis for bragging rights and earn prizes the more trips they log, including three grand prizes of $200. Easy registration and trip logging is found at www.commuteSMARTseacoast.org/Conquer.

Anne Rugg, Manager of CommuteSMART Seacoast, comments, “Last year was our first year and we were delighted with the number of commuters who participated by walking, biking, or taking the bus to work. The friendly competition and prizes help to reduce traffic congestion and emissions… one commuter at a time.”
