Dan Brown, Live Music and Theatre This Weekend

"Things We Do for Love" continues at Seacoast Repertory Theatre; The Vampires invade the Press Room on Saturday night.

As most city residents know, there is never a shortage of fun things to do or places to go in Portsmouth. Each Friday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends.

1. Dan Brown at Music Hall tonight: International best-selling author Dan Brown will discuss his new book at the Music Hall to benefit the Writers on a New England Stage series. The event begins at 7:30 p.m., but tickets are limited.

2. Don't miss The Vampires: The Vampires will rock the house at the Press Room on Saturday night at 9 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge.

3. Justin Roberts kids concert: Parents and their kids who would like to enjoy some fun, whimsical music should catch Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players at the Music Hall on Sunday at 3 p.m.

4. Crazy Maggy at Dolphin Striker: If you're in the mood for some wild Irish music with some Cajun and rhythm and blues thrown in, Crazy Maggy will be performing at the Dolphin Striker on Saturday night from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. and there is no cover charge.

5. "Things We Do for Love" at the Rep: British playwright Alan Ayckbourn’s comic examination of the unrequited love triangle, "The Things We Do for Love," continues this weekend at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre with performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
