Dover Man Arrested On Burglary Charge
Portsmouth Police allege that Robert Arnold burglarized Jitto's & Super Steak Sub on Lafayette Road last November.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A local man has been arrested on a burglary charge after a multi-month investigation by the Portsmouth Police. Robert C. Arnold IV, 32, of Henry Law Avenue in Dover, was arrested on Jan. 19, 2018, on a single felony count. He turned himself in on a warrant and was released on personal recognizance bail.

Back on Nov. 24, 2017, police were called to the Jitto’s & Super Steak Sub shop on Lafayette Road for a report of a burglary.

“The suspect had entered the business at night time and stole an undisclosed amount of money,” according to Det. Sgt. John Peracchi of the Portsmouth Police Department.
After an investigation into the incident, a warrant was issued for Arnold’s arrest. The case will be handled through the Rockingham County Attorney’s Office Felonies First program.

Three days after the alleged burglary, Arnold was arrested by Portsmouth Police on a forgery charge after allegedly casing 12 checks totaling more than $7,600 from a family member, according to seacoastonline.com.
