Dover Man Charged with Sexual Assault

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, March 4 through Monday, March 5.
Sunday:
- At 10:16 a.m., police reported an animal call on Woodbury Avenue after the caller said they saw a rabid fox.
- At 2:07 p.m., police arrested a Dover man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he turned himself in at the police station. Adam Jean Andersen, 38, of 514 Lilac Lane in Dover was wanted for sexual assault.

- At 12:52 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman for motor vehicle offenses on Weald Road. Elizabeth Lindsay Wade, 19, of 169 Essex Ave. in Portsmouth was charged with operating after suspension, operating without a valid license and traffic control devices.
- At 1:37 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man for drunken driving on the Route 1 Bypass northbound and Lafayette Road. Kyle Anderson, 23, of 26 Blue Heron Drive in Portsmouth was charged with driving while intoxicated.
- At 3:50 a.m., police reported a prowler on New Castle Avenue.
- At 10:03 a.m., police reported a theft on 1 Marcy St. when the caller said someone stole a video camera and accessories he was using to record the Memorial Bridge project from Prescott Park while he went home to get an item.
- At 2:24 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man after he turned himself in to the police station. Robert G. McDowell, 57, of 379 New Castle Ave. in Portsmouth was charged on an arrest warrant for defamation of character, two counts of unsworn falsification, and tampering with public records/information.
- At 3:11 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man following a domestic incident on Wedgewood Road. Michael C. Tilley, 25, of 17 Wedgewood Road in Portsmouth was charged with simple assault.
- At 3:48 p.m., police reported a theft of Corporate Driver after the caller said she left her purse in the Franklin Pierce College library and someone took it.
- At 5:20 p.m., police reported a theft of a gas drive off of $87.29 from a Route 1 Bypass gas station.
- At 5:20 p.m., police reported a theft on Rye Street of a purse that was left in an unlocked car. The caller said the purse contained a Blackberry cell phone, cash and credit cards.
