End of the Summer Dance Party, Telluride by the Sea This Weekend

Fairy House Tours this weekend; l Level Reggae band at the Press Room Saturday night.

As most city residents know, there is never a shortage of fun things to do or places to go in Portsmouth. Each Friday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends.

1. Fairy House Tour: The Friends of the South End's annual Fairy House Tour is happening in Prescott Park, Strawbery Banke Museum and other locations on Saturday and Sunday. This is always a great family outing that the kids will love.

2. Telluride by the Sea: The Music Hall is hosting the Telluride by the Sea film festival on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday.

3. Epic End of Summer Dance Party: On Friday, 3S Artspace and Prescott Park Arts Festival team up to send off summer with a once-in-a-lifetime outdoor dance party at 319 Vaughan St. Beginning at dusk they'll screen the acclaimed feature-length dance music video GIRL WALK // ALL DAY, and follow it with a full on dance party with music supplied by Portland DJs CDR and RTS. Beer from Redhook Brewery and Flatbread Company pizza will be on site until the event ends at 11 p.m.

4. Trader Joe's now open: After six months of planning and preparation, the new Trader Joe's store officially opened at the Crossings at Fox Run in Newington on Friday morning. If you have never been to a Trader Joe's store to peruse their unique food items, definitely stop by and check it out.

5.: Don't miss l Level Reggae: The Press Room is always a great venue for live music and this Saturday l Level Reggae will be rocking the house at 9 p.m. There is a $7 cover charge for Saturday's show.
