The 5th Annual Sustainability Day sponsored by the City of Portsmouth and Sustainable Portsmouthwill be held on May 12 2012 at the Portsmouth Senior High School starting at 6am.
The format for SD will be focused on educational activities, engaging demonstrations, eco-friendly product resources,green home improvement ideas, crafts for the whole family and a documentary film festival.
Also planned are an 8am potluck breafast buffet and a 12:30 lunch provided by volunteers from Seacoast local food sources.

Several other on and off site programs will be ongoing throughout the day including an electronic recycling collection, bird watchers and vernal pool walks all at PHS, womans clothing swap and recycled materials art show at the Portsmouth Public Library, a 5K road race presented by the PHS Eco Club at Pease Trade Port and a tour and hands on rain garden planting of the Hodgson Brook Restoration Project in Meadowbrook Park.
