Local Author Reads From Memoir Depicting Triumph Over Tragedy

Sunday, July 8, 1–3 PM, Hampton resident and retired fight attendent Evelyn Thornton will sign copies of To Walk with My Brother at A TASTE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE GIFT SHOP in the Seashell Complex at 180 Ocean Boulevard, Hampton Beach (ph: 603-227-8711). The memoir depicts the changing opportunities for the handicapped from the 1950s to the present by chronicling her late brother Wayne’s lifelong challenge to transcend the limits of physical disability. Wayne inspired construction of the original wheelchair access ramps at the Seashell Complex site. The book is for sale online and locally in Hampton/Hampton Beach at: The Galley Hatch, Studio 471, A Taste of New Hampshire Gift Shop, and The Coffee Break Cafe.
