Just a short walk from downtown Portsmouth, Great Bay Academy of Dance invites you to this annually sold out performance at our studio theater. Based on the orchestration "The Carnival of the Animals" by composer Camille Saint-Saens, our story centers around two sisters who beg their Nanny to have her take them to the zoo. Once they enter the zoo, chaos ensues as the sisters lose their Nanny and funny things start to happen. You will meet a lion, monkeys, flamingos and many more animals who effortlessly perform classical ballet for all ages of audience members alike. After our 40min performance, guests are invited to participate in our "Carnival" festivities of face-painting, a chance to meet the cast and more!
