A staple seacoast event in its 9th year, Operation: Thank You! is one of the largest and most respected military appreciation events in New England.
This year's event will be held on Sunday, July 29th from 11am to 4pm at the Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire!
The Meat House and Redhook Brewery thank the military, veterans and their families on a daily basis. However, once a year we throw a huge bash with over three thousand of their closest friends to celebrate and thank the military by hosting a BBQ and raising money for a fantastic cause. The event raises funds for the New Hampshire Air National Guard's Chaplain's Emergency Relief Fund (CERF), which provides financial assistance to military families in need. Many of these families, while making great sacrifices for our freedom, come across emergency financial hurdles such as medical bills, auto repairs, mortgages and utility payments. As a fundraising event, our mission is to raise awareness and financial support so that military Chaplains throughout the state of New Hampshire can continue to aid military personnel and families in the event of a crisis.
In addition to thanking all military, Operation: Thank you! is a celebration of food, fun, family and friends, and, for the first time, we have partnered with EcoMovement to make this a ZERO WASTE event. The event is hosted by Greg Kretschmar of WHEB/WGIR's Greg and the Morning Buzz, and includes:
- A cookout, done The Meat House way!
- Ice cold Redhook beer on tap
- Live music
- A Kids Corner with games and prizes
- Awesome raffle items
