Writer's Open Forum

The writer’s group of the Portsmouth Library will offer an opportunity for writers to share a draft manuscript in a supportive environment. Participants should bring a submission of no more than five (5) pages, double spaced, of a non-published work-in-progress for assistance and gentle critiquing.

Participants will read their submissions to a small break-out group of peers and receive oral feedback within their group. We will conclude with time for networking and casual conversation. All genres and experience levels welcome.

Tom Holbrook, owner of River Run Bookstore, will be speaking about how bookstores choose which books to stock on their shelves. Bookstores only physically stock a small percentage of the books published every year.  New authors want to know:  how do I get mine into the stores?

This event is free and open to the public.  For more information or to RSVP, contact Terri Bruce at tbruce@terribruce.net
