Ever Hear A Ukelele Big Band?

Silver Strummers, a 20 piece ukelele ensemble from Dover, highlight musical performances at the James House Annual Harvest Festival TODAY!

Clearing skies and a crisp Fall day will provide the setting for today’s Annual Harvest Festival at the James House on 186 Towle Farm Road in Hampton. The Silver Strummers from Dover will offer a unique performance and bluegrass/Celtic group, Deep Hole Road and country/pop singer Jennifer Mitchell will also offer their musical talents. The apple-pear-blueberry cook-off will provide visitors a chance to taste, judge and take home home made baked goodies and a food tent will offer everything from grilled hot dogs to chowder, chile and salads. 1-4 pm Free Admission/Parking. The James House Association invites the public to come out and enjoy the day and learn a bit about its efforts to preserve and restore the Benjamin James Farmstead and its educational program.
