Fall Happenings with the Seacoast Wind Ensemble!

Fall Happenings with the Seacoast Wind Ensemble!

The Seacoast Wind Ensemble (SWE) commenced its fall season this past week with rehearsals at Exeter High School again. We have a busy fall lined up and hope to see you at some of the events!

  • The 2014-2015 season marks 30 years for SWE! Help us celebrate by attending one of our concerts and our fundraiser at the Portsmouth Flatbreads in November.
  • SWE will perform in the 4th Annual Festival of New Hampshire Bands in New London on Saturday, October 18, 2014. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear community bands throughout the New Hampshire region; SWE will be the last group to perform before the “massed bands.” For more information, click here.
  • SWE will hold a fundraiser at Flatbread Pizza in Portsmouth on Tuesday evening, November 11, 2014 -- Veteran’s Day. A portion of the evening’s pizza sales will go to support SWE’s activities and our scholarship program. We will also be holding a raffle onsite throughout the evening. We would love to see you there! Please watch for more notifications about this event.
  • Our annual holiday concerts will be held in mid- to late-December. We will announce the dates through this email notification list and through press releases.
  • Finally, SWE was saddened to learn of the recent loss of its former music conductor and director, Paul Erwin. The 2014-2015 concert season will include one piece that is played in memory of Paul (including some of his compositions) at each concert.
