PORTSMOUTH, NH — A water park in Portsmouth has found a way to say “thank you” to heroes in the Port City with free admission to the park.

Water Country Water Park is offering free entry to the park on Aug. 18 through Aug. 22 to all healthcare workers, first responders, police officers, firefighters, and active duty and retired military members. As many as six guests of each hero will receive a 50 percent off gate-priced admission during the same time period.

Matt Hehl, the general manager of the park, said Salute Our Heroes week was a way the park could thank those involved in helping others get through the pandemic.
