Five Things to Do During Spring Break
Fortunately for Portsmouth school kids and their parents, the Seacoast has many options.
OK, so it's officially day two of New Hampshire school vacation. Your kids are starting to climb the walls with boredom and you, their parent, are ready to pull your hair out.
Don't panic. Take a deep breath...
Here are five things you can do with the kids this week until school reopens on Monday, April 30:

1. Bowl-O-Rama: For generations, parents and kids of all ages can go to the local bowling alley and knock'em down, spin'em around and do whatever is humanely possible to candle pins with a bowling ball and Bowl-O-Rama on Lafayette Road is a great option.
2. Chuck E. Cheese: Just a few miles away and just north of the Fox Run Mall is the ultimate kids' amusement center, Chuck E. Cheese. Here kids can play games to their hearts' content and get some pizza and soft drinks to boot whil mom or day catches up on the cell phone e-mails and text messages.

3. Seacoast Science Center: In neighboring Rye in Odiorne State Park there is no better place to learn about the rich aquatic life that inhabits the Seacoast region than the Seacoast Science Center. If your kids have never been, they will love it.
4. Children's Museum of New Hampshire: Just a few miles west of Portsmouth off the Spaulding Turnpike in Dover is the Children's Museum of New Hampshire, which gives kids another place to get some hands on fun and learn some great stuff at the same time.
5. Regal Cinemas Newington 15: With 15 movie screens, Regal Cinemas Newington 15 offers kids and their parents a way to kill two hours and enjoy a great family movie. Couple this with some time in the Barnes and Noble book store or nearby Best Buy and you will have taken one mid-week afternoon right off the board.
