For Sale on Etsy: The "Eyes Of Ellen" Necklace

My dear friend Ellen, who I sang with for so many years in The Street Choir, had the most beautiful sea green eyes. I started quite spontaneously last week to make something using the marvelous and mysterious color I remembered them to be: sometimes blue, sometimes green just depending on the light. Then I realized, I bet lots of other people have eyes this color! It’s a soothing shade, contemplative even. Here I have created a very easy piece to wear doubled, just throw it on and go, throughout the summer months. It has many different shades of rare Czech bellflowers in a color called aquamarine celsian, a matte Jade colored maple leaf bead I’m wild for, Czech faceted beads of many shapes and sizes, some nice palest yellow Pineapple Quartz, green Swarovski pearls and tiny crystals, some beautiful Aqua Quartz faceted squares, and some terrific Bali Sterling Silver in a few of my all-time favorite shapes. A bit more minimalist than my usual lush groupings, but I know it will be just perfect for someone out there in cyber-space—maybe, you. 61.5” long.
