Former Car Dealership Becomes Home to New Frontiers Church

New Frontiers, a community church that has been serving the Seacoast for decades, has a new address: 1 Gosling Road. The building, which is opposite The Crossings at Fox Run Mall, was first a Saturn and then a Cadillac dealership. NFC purchased the building at the end of 2013. The new location is strategic for its visibility and accessibility, enabling the church to more effectively serve the Seacoast Community. New Frontiers Church will host a public launch with its Christmas Series, “Good News”, starting December 7.

New Frontiers is a different kind of church. While it does gather together on a Sunday morning, NFC is really a network of communities from all over the Seacoast. From Portsmouth to Rochester, and Southern Maine to Great Bay, these community groups gather at different times during the week for people to encourage and care for one another and to serve the neighborhoods they live in. That is one of the reasons why people from all walks of life call NFC home.

In 2012, two local churches -- Christ the King and Harbor Church -- came together to form New Frontiers Church. With shared values and a desire to serve the community in a way that displays God’s grace, the two affiliated churches realized they needed to be working together more closely. Speaking of the church, leader Ian Ashby said, “Our family moved here from England over a decade ago to see a church grow that really made a positive impact on the community. We are so excited to see that happening more and more over the years.”

While New Frontiers Church focuses on serving the local community, it is also known for its work overseas with members serving in every hemisphere. NFC partners with a number of churches around New England and is also part of a family of over 900 churches across the world.
