Four Arrested, One Sought in Portsmouth Drug Sweep
Detectives, SIU, and High Intensity Drug Interdiction Team spent several months conducting street level investigations.
The Portsmouth Police Department Detective’s Division including the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and the High Intensity Drug Interdiction Team (HIDIT) with K-9 Max arrested the following individuals last week, according to a press statement.
- Kathleen Dickenson, 55, of Weald Road in Portsmouth, for two counts Sale of a Controlled Drug Lorazopam a generic of Xanax (Felony). Bail was set at $1,500 Personal Recognizance.
- Kelly Cook, 45, of Winsor Road in Portsmouth, for two counts Sale of a Controlled Drug Alprazolam a generic of Xanax (Felony). Bail was set at $1,200 Personal Recognizance.
- Jeffrey Argerow, 46, Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, for two counts Sale of a Controlled Drug Suboxone (Felony). Bail was set at $1500 Personal Recognizance.
- James Read, 35, of Sagamore Avenue in Portsmouth, for two counts Sale of a Controlled Drug Klonopin and Ritalin (Felony). Bail $2500 Personal Recognizance/$1,000 Cash.

Over the course of the last several months the Police Department’s SIU and HIDIT were conducting drug investigations on street level dealers which resulted in the above individuals being arrested. All defendants were arrested at their residences and taken into custody without incident.

They were transported to the Police Department where they were processed and later released on bail. All will be arraigned on Jan. 25, 2016 at the 10th Circuit – District Division Portsmouth.

Read was held on $1,000 cash bail and will have a Probable Cause hearing on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at the 10th Circuit – District Division Portsmouth.
Still Wanted for Sale of a Controlled Drug Heroin (Felony) is Carolyn Johnson, 32, pictured upper left hand corner, with a last known address of Beechstone Apartments in Portsmouth.
