The owner of the soon-to-be-closed Green Monkey restaurant in downtown Portsmouth thanked diners and the community for supporting it for the last decade.
Deb Gootee-Weeks sold her restaurant, and its last day will be Thursday.
"Thank you to everyone who has supported the Green Monkey and made it what it is the last 10 years," she said. "My love and loyalty is with them as they have given to me."
Gootee-Weeks made the closure announcement Tuesday.
The new owners are expected to renovate the restaurant before reopening. Gootee-Weeks said she couldn't release details because of a non-disclosure agreement.
She said will take some time off after the Green Monkey closes.
"When I come back, I have some new ventures planned," she said.
