WMUR reports that John Maloney, the slain police chief's father, received the award on behalf of his son from the New England Association of Chiefs of Police.

Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney's heroism during an April drug raig that claimed his life posthumously earned him a Medal of Valor in Hampton Wednesday.
