Halloween Parade, Restaurant Week Ahead for Portsmouth
Portsmouth Halloween Parade kicks off Monday night; Portsmouth Listens City Council candidate forum happening Wednesday; and the city's Restaurant Week begins Tuesday.
This week Portsmouth residents will celebrate Halloween in style with the 17th annual Halloween Parade that kicks off at 6 p.m. on Monday night. Families are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes and they can either march or watch the parade as it makes it way through downtown Portsmouth.
But before the Halloween Parade on Monday night, the city's littlest goblins, ghosts and pumpkins will get to go trick or treating on Sunday night from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Portsmouth Police are encouraging drivers to watch out for trick or treaters if they are out on city streets.
Beginning on Wednesday, the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce will also usher in Restaurant Week Portsmouth & Seacoast where participating eateries throughout downtown Portsmouth will offer great discounts to dining patrons. Restaurant Week goes from Nov. 3 through Nov. 12.
