Happening This Weekend on the Seacoast
Find some fun things to do this weekend in the seacoast area!

Looks like more snow for the Seacoast today! Shouldn’t be nearly as bad as Juno though, thankfully. If you’re all shoveled out and looking for something fun to do this weekend, we’ve done some of the legwork for you and put together some ideas. Enjoy!
If you’re a parent of younger kids and looking to stay close to home, you may want to check out the Books Alive! Visit from Olivia The Pig. Visit the Children’s Museum of NH Saturday, January 31st from 10am to 2pm, and your kids will get to meet Olivia, from the beloved book series written and illustrated by Ian Falconer. Tickets are $9 for Children and Adults.

If you’re more the outdoorsy type, you might enjoy one of the Snowshoe Adventure Hikes at Prescott Farm. Once you forget about all that shoveling you just did, snow can actually be quite beautiful! Hikes are for all ages and beginners are welcome. Join them for either a one hour snowshoe from 10 to 11am and/or a two hour snowshoe from 1 to 3pm. Reservations are required so give the folks at Prescott Farm a call at 603-366-5695 to save your spot. They also offer free sledding if snowshoes aren’t for you. Just grab your sled and they’ll provide the hill. They even have snacks and hot cocoa for sale!

If you’re more into the other kind of sleds, any snowmobile enthusiast would be interested in the Lancaster Grand Prix, which is dubbed the oldest vintage snowmobile race in the USA. The event includes races, a parade, raffles, and more! Join in the fun at the fairgrounds in Lancaster, NH. Register to enter your snowmobile or come and cheer on the racers! General admission is $10 and free for kids under 12.
Not so much into the whole being cold and outdoors thing? Maybe the Winter Wine Festival Bubbles & Jazz Brunch is more up your alley. Head on over to Wentworth by the Sea on February 1st at 10am, and enjoy some brunch, bubbles, and jazz.
That’s it for now, anything we forgot or should know about? Let us know!
