Boston MedFlight is a nonprofit organization providing the highest level of critical care transport by air and ground to patients in need—regardless of their circumstances. For more than 40 years, since our founding in 1985, we have set the standard for clinical excellence, safety, and compassion in the air medical industry. Our tagline, “Your Life. Our Mission.”, captures the purpose that drives everything we do. Whether responding to an emergency scene or transferring a critically ill patient between hospitals, our team delivers seamless, patient-centered care during some of the most challenging moments in a person’s life. As a nonprofit, we are guided by one unwavering principle: every patient deserves access to lifesaving care, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Each year, Boston MedFlight provides more than $7 million in free and unreimbursed care, ensuring no patient is ever turned away. Our clinical teams are among the most highly trained and experienced in the world, caring for patients of all ages—from premature infants to older adults—across a wide range of conditions. These include adult and pediatric trauma, complex medical emergencies, cardiac and stroke events, high-risk obstetric and neonatal care, and specialized interfacility transfers. We achieve this excellence through rigorous training and preparedness. Every clinician completes an intensive onboarding and education program that includes hospital ICU and emergency department rotations, pediatric and neonatal critical care experience, high-fidelity simulation training, advanced procedural labs, and comprehensive classroom instruction in transport medicine. Our work is supported by a state-of-the-art fleet of Airbus H145 helicopters and Freightliner mobile ICU ground vehicles, each equipped with advanced technology comparable to leading hospital ICUs.

For 35 years and counting, Pro Portsmouth has consistently staged impressive Market Square Day celebrations that feature the MSD 10K road race and a downtown filled with live music, vendors and fun for the entire family. But the one thing Pro Portsmouth never had control over was the weather. After the past few Market Square Day events were greeted with lots of rain, Mother Nature decided to do an about face on Saturday when she delivered a picture, perfect, sunny day. This is all it took to bring thousands of people from all over New Hampshire, Maine and elsewhere to downtown Portsmouth. Nearly 2,000 runners competed in the Market Square Day 10K road race at 9 a.m., which was won by Robert Gomez of Saco, Maine, and the rest of the morning and afternoon saw the downtown teeming with happy visitors and residents who enjoyed lots of great food and live music. What follows is an image gallery that captured a small sampling of what was a perfect 10 for Market Square Day.
