Indonesian Man Sentenced for Failing to Comply with Deportation Order
Terry Helmuth Rombot of Somersworth receives time-served after failing to return to his home.

Terry Helmuth Rombot, 52, of Somersworth, was sentenced to a time-served sentence of about two months of incarceration for failing to depart the United States after he was ordered deported to his home country of Indonesia, reports Acting United States Attorney Donald Feith.
Rombot is a native and citizen of Indonesia. He entered the United States at Los Angles, CA, on Feb. 20, 2001, on a B-1 Visa as a non-immigrant visitor for business. The visa granted Rombot a 28-day stay in the U.S., but Rombot stayed beyond the 28 days and resided illegally in the United States for years.
In October 2006, a United States Immigration Court Judge ordered Rombot to depart the United States and ordered his removal if he did not depart in 60 days. Rombot did not comply with the Court’s order. After a series of appeals and reviews of the Immigration Court’s orders, all of which upheld the Immigration Court’s departure order, Rombot was ordered to meet Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers at Logan Airport in Boston on March 12, 2012, to board a flight to Indonesia. Rombot failed to appear at Logan Airport and continued to stay in the United States illegally.
