Kittery Woman in Critical Condition After Jumping Off I-95 Bridge

NHSP, NH Marine Patrol were sent to the Piscataqua River this morning to rescue a woman who jumped.

PORTSMOUTH, NH – The New Hampshire State Police has issued a statement about the woman who jumped off the Piscataqua River Bridge, I-95, on June 30, 3016.

The 38-year-old woman from Kittery, ME, is in critical condition at Portsmouth Regional Hospital after New Hampshire State Police-Marine Patrol received a report at just after 10 a.m. that a person had jumped off the bridge.

“Marine Patrol responded to the incident and located an adult female in the water between the I-95 and Sara Long Bridges,” according to Patrick Morse of the NH Marine Patrol. “The person was recovered by Marine Patrol and United States Coast Guard vessels and transported to Prescott Park where they were met by the Portsmouth Fire/Rescue.”
