PORTSMOUTH, NH — A Seacoast landscaper is finding a unique way to say, "thank you," during the new coronavirus outbreak.

Justin Gamester, the president and CEO of Piscataqua Landscaping and Tree Service, recently made the decision to emblazon the company's new enclosed lawn maintenance trailer with a salute to health care workers, first responders, and others who are on the frontlines saving lives and caring for people.

"We don't have masks, gowns or face shields to donate and if we did, we would," he said. "However, we do service customers that play a role in many essential fields of work all over the Seacoast. These folks work tirelessly to provide for us every day — but especially these days — and my team and I wanted to do something."

Gamester went to an "extremely loyal local vendors" at REP Trailer in Greenland and Raitt Signs in Eliot, Maine, they helped the company line up the trailer with the salute.

"We will be towing this around the communities that have supported us for many years and will give a few respectful honks of the horn as a thank you when we see these folks," Gamester said.

Landscapers are considered an essential business in New Hampshire. The company, in an effort to improve safety, has initiated "elevated protocols" to keep its workers, customers and community safe. If you see the truck, honk back to say, thank you, to all those who are working to protect us during the COVID-19 outbreak, Gamester said.
