Last Chance: Don't Miss Grail Mania
On Thursday, May 3, a Portsmouth Public Library forum will look at the legend of the Holy Grail.

Long before Monty Python attempted to immortalize the Holy Grail with its classic comedic film, the actual chalice that was sought by King Arthur's Knights of the Roundtable and so many others centuries ago has been steeped in legend.
On Thursday, May 3, the Portsmouth Public Library will present a forum called "Grail Mania" to explore some of the many legends surrounding the Holy Grail. New Hampshire Humanities Council Scholar Diana Durham will discuss why the young knight Perceval’s quest for the grail has as much meaning today as when the story was first told centuries ago.
Audience members will also have a chance to act out a scene from a new dramatic retelling by playing the parts of King Arthur, Merlin, the Grieving Maiden as we mix storytelling, acting and discussion. The event begins at 7 p.m. and is free to the public.
