Last Chance: Don't Miss 'Hugo'

Portsmouth Public Library's Spring Film series will show Oscar winning film on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

It seems like it only yesterday when the Academy Awards were held in Hollywood and the best films of 2011 received their Oscars. If you didn't get a chance to see all of those films, one of them is playing for free this Thursday night.

The Portsmouth Public Library's Spring Cinema series continues this week with the showing of the Oscar winning film, "Hugo," at 6:30 p.m. The film stars Ben Kingsley and is based on the book  'The Invention of Hugo Cabret' by Brian Selznick.

The movie won three Oscars and is set in 1930s Paris. An orphan who lives in the walls of a train station is wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton. The movie is rated PG-13 and is 126 minutes. It will be shown in the Levenson Theatre.
