Local Author Donates eBooks to Library
KD Mason and Bigwig Books donate "Harbor Ice" and "Changing Tides" to Portsmouth Public Library.

In a move to support Portsmouth Public Library and its eBook lending initiative, local author KD Mason and publisher, Bigwig Books, have donated the eBook versions of Harbor Ice and Changing Tides, the first two books in the Jack Beale Mystery Series. The series is based in Rye, NH. Bigwig Books also donated an elaborately annotated version of The Story of a Bad Boy by Thomas Bailey Aldrich.
These donated titles have been added to four Kindle eReaders. The library circulates nine eReaders – six Kindles and three Nooks – fully loaded with titles for fiction, non-fiction and teen readers. With a valid library card you may check out an eReader for 2 weeks.
Bigwig Books’ founder Marsha Filion said ‘We are always on the lookout to see what we can do to support the local library. This seemed like a great way to reach a core part of the audience while at the same time encouraging library patrons to take advantage of the eBook services on offer. When I approached KD Mason with the idea, he was delighted, and suggested we donate his bestseller, Harbor Ice, along with his newest eBook release, Changing Tides.’
