Maine Author Bette J. Freedson Presents, 'Soul Mothers' Wisdom'

Author Bette J. Freedson, a South Berwick native, is a clinical social worker with many years of counseling experience. After raising two children on her own, she was inspired to write her book to encourage and inspire single mothers.

Soul Mothers’ Widsom, Seven Insights for the Single Mother (published on March 1 by Pearlsong Press) is Freedson’s new book that guides, comforts and supports single mothers as they take on the challenge of parenting on their own. Famed pediatrician T. Berry Brazelton calls Soul Mothers’ Wisdom a “fine book full of support for single parents who have to face the job of raising children alone” and says “I would advise all single mothers to read it.”
